fabrics made from \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e4 natural fibers: silk, wool, linen and cotton\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・These fabrics were made exclusively for GBS by \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eLuigi Parisotto\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, based in Sarcedo, Vicenza, Italy.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・Rather than a single uniform cloth, multiple fabrics differing in weave, character and texture are boldly combined in \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ean advanced patchwork construction.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・The reverse side uses luxurious viscose fabrics by \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eEzio Ghiringhelli\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e of Varese, Italy, and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eTessitura Mauri\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e of Como.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・Turn it inside out and another patchwork appears, made from several viscose fabrics including stripes and glen check, with a look entirely different from the outer side.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・The reverse side in particular pairs the linear character of stripes with the smooth sheen of viscose, for an elegance you would never expect from a garment that began as a military parka.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・Not merely a beautifully finished lining: \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ea 2-in-1 design that lets the reverse side itself be worn as a second coat\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, bringing two different worlds together in one lasting 10 hours or more\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・Dyeing by skilled hands creates its unique color, patina and soft texture.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・Because the different materials are all dyed in a single color family, each fiber reacts differently to the dye, giving rise to \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003esubtle variations in tone, sheen and texture\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e — another defining feature.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・The hood has \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ea three-dimensional structure designed to cover the head and extend down beneath the chin\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, carrying over the functionality of military wear.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・The front has \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e2 large flap pockets\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e with a strong presence.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・The back also has \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ean extra-large welt flap pocket\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, adding GBS's own functional details to the M51 base.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・The different front and back lengths and a silhouette that falls longer toward the back, reminiscent of a fishtail, also evoke the military character of the M51.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・The buttons are genuine horn, made exclusively for GBS by \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ethe Fontana family\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, the renowned button makers of Parma, Italy.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・And this coat has no fewer than \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e12 fully hand-sewn buttonholes\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e・Each buttonhole takes \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eat least 10–15 minutes\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e to make, so the 12 alone represent an enormous amount of time — an exceptionally labor-intensive
