・A hooded pullover jacket featuring a newly developed GBS fabric patchwork called “Estratto,” known for its abstract and deep textured appearance.
・The outer fabric uses hand-woven Alpago, Merino, and Alpaca wool from Tessitura La Colombina in Morgano, Italy. Using traditional wooden looms, it takes over 3 days just to weave the fabric for this single garment.
・Characterized by a black aesthetic that combines different weaves and textures. Despite its monochromatic look, it creates rich shadows depending on how light hits it and the angle from which it is viewed.
・The lining is luxuriously crafted from 16-momme pure silk satin, featuring the 1970s geometric pattern “Geometrica Sessanta” from the prestigious Bernasconi family of Como, Italy.
・Each silk garment is dyed, washed, molded, and hand-treated, undergoing over 15 hours of specialized handwork at the GBS atelier to create its unique colors, patina, and deep, soft texture.
・A 2-in-1 reversible design that allows you to enjoy two completely different expressions on the front and back. The contrasting duality of the quiet, black-based aesthetic and the vibrant silk print is a unique charm of this piece.
・Designed with a relaxed blouson silhouette, featuring elasticated cuffs and hem instead of a waistband to create a natural volume while maintaining a minimal look.
・The front features a custom-ordered silver-chrome EXCELLA reversible zipper from YKK’s top-tier line in Japan.
・In addition to meticulous single-needle stitching, approximately 2.5cm of seam allowance is provided in key areas, anticipating future size adjustments and repairs for long-term wear.
・The brand label is a hand-dyed pure silk label produced exclusively for GBS by Mion SpA in Trevignano, Italy, and is hand-stitched using pure silk thread rather than polyester.
・The variations in color depth and slight irregularities resulting from the dyeing, washing, and handmade processes are not defects, but should be enjoyed as the unique character of each individual piece created by this special method.
・From materials and weaving to dyeing, sewing, and components, this garment is crafted using methods that are the antithesis of efficiency and mass production. It is a collectible special piece that symbolizes the garment-making of GEOFFREY B. SMALL.
