・A super limited edition of the GBS Evolution XII, with only 6 pieces produced worldwide. Of these, only 2 were created as an exclusive model for Carrefour Jiyugaoka.
・A coat born from years of tailoring research, based on the original GBS pattern that reproduces a double-breasted atelier work jacket from the early 1900s.
・The outer shell is crafted from pure wool double-face super soft coating cloth, woven exclusively for this model by the prestigious Luigi Parisotto in Vicenza, Italy.
・A key feature is its surprisingly light feel, which belies its appearance, despite the plump, three-dimensional volume and rich texture characteristic of double-face fabric. The contrast between the formidable presence of a double-breasted coat and its lightness when worn is a true highlight.
・The fabric features a delicate twill weave, which, combined with its deep brown hue, creates a simple yet nuanced expression.
・Upon completion, each garment undergoes washing, shaping, and hand-treatment at the GBS workshop in Cavarzere, Venice, to bring out its softness and a natural, aged aesthetic.
・The lining features “Geometrica Settanta Foglie,” specially produced by the Bernasconi family in Como, Italy. It is a special fabric that brings a geometric print inspired by 1970s Milanese leaf (watercolor) motifs to 16-momme pure silk satin.
・The vibrant silk lining, dominated by blue and orange, peeks out from the subdued brown outer fabric, adding a touch of GBS-style unpredictability to the classic exterior.
・The front features real horn buttons with a “Stemma (coat of arms)” design, crafted for GBS by the renowned Parma button maker, Claudio & Cinzia Fontana.
・All 7 buttonholes are hand-stitched. Using pure silk thread from Bozzolo Milano Seta Reale in Milan, it takes at least 10–15 minutes per buttonhole to work through the challenging double-face fabric.
・A relaxed, double-breasted silhouette with generous width in the body and shoulders. Rather than simply reproducing a classic coat, it is finished with a modern balance that creates space between the body and the fabric.
・A powerful form rooted in workwear from over a century ago, reconstructed with startling lightness through the highest quality double-face wool and delicate handiwork. It looks substantial, yet feels light when worn. This contrast between appearance and comfort is signature GEOFFREY B. SMALL.
