・Born of GEOFFREY B. SMALL’s many years of tailoring research: a fly front, raglan sleeves and a wide & round silhouette define this men’s jacket
・Raglan sleeves without shoulder seams and a rounded form that envelops the body create a soft silhouette quite different from a tailored jacket
・The fabric is an ultra-lightweight pure handkerchief linen known as “Superleggero（super light）”, made for GBS in Varese, Italy
・It has the thinness, lightness and delicacy unique to handkerchief linen, while beautifully revealing the natural creases and shading characteristic of linen
・After sewing, each piece is hand-dyed dark brown one by one at GBS Superworkrooms in Cavarzere, Venice
・Dyeing, washing, shaping and treatment are all done by hand — over 8 hours of skilled handwork to achieve a deep dark brown, a distinctive patina, a three-dimensional form and a soft hand
・Unlike uniform industrial dyeing, hand-dyeing and washing produce subtle shading and fade marks, resulting in a brown with depth, as the photos show
・The front uses a concealed placket (Hidden Button Fly-Front) that keeps the buttons out of sight as much as possible, for a minimal design that lets the fabric’s character and silhouette stand out
・An oversized button at the collar serves as an accent, offering a different look whether worn closed or open
・A sporty belted waist blends sharp outerwear elements with workwear-inspired pocket design
・Sewn throughout with single-needle topstitching, a specialty of GEOFFREY B. SMALL
・The hem and interior seams are beautifully finished with Italian satin tape — though extremely lightweight, the jacket is carefully constructed right through to the inside
・Renowned button artisans in Parma, Italy, Claudio Fontana and Cinzia Fontana, made the genuine water buffalo horn buttons in the “Roberta” design especially for GBS
・It also features 9 fully hand-stitched buttonholes, a signature of GEOFFREY B. SMALL
・Each buttonhole takes at least 10–12 minutes to make, and all 9 are cut and sewn one by one by skilled artisans
・For the buttonholes, the finest pure silk thread from Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta is used
