・Born from GEOFFREY B. SMALL's many years of tailoring research, a special blouson that takes a minimal jacket design further.

・The fabric is a luxurious suiting from Biella, Italy: Super 130’s extra-fine pure wool woven for Emporio Armani.

・The cloth is a classic houndstooth. With its very fine pattern and dark tone, it looks almost solid from a distance, while the delicate weave reveals itself up close.

・Thanks to the very fine, high-quality wool characteristic of Super 130’s, the fabric has a soft hand and a beautiful fall.

・After sewing, it undergoes repeated rounds of hand dyeing, washing, shaping and treatment at the GBS Superworkrooms in Cavarzere, Venice.

・To create its unique color, patina, form and softness, this finishing alone takes more than 16 hours of skilled handwork.

・Rather than being tailored in its crisp, pristine state, the fine Super 130’s suiting fabric has its formality broken down through repeated hand dyeing and washing, transforming it into GBS's own soft texture that molds to the body.

・The silhouette is an extended blouson type, with more length and volume than a typical short blouson.

・As the on-model photos show, the roomy body that sits comfortably away from the figure and the form that gently tapers toward the hem create a silhouette that is relaxed yet refined.

・The collar is a distinctive crescent-shaped (half-moon) collar reminiscent of vintage American baseball jackets.

・The front features a precisely made tailored fly front that keeps the fastenings largely out of sight for a very minimal look.

・At both sides are hand-cut welt pockets, offering a blouson's practicality without disturbing the clean overall impression.

・The sleeves finish with an elastic cuff design, pairing a sporty detail with the fine suiting fabric.

・Inside, it is lined with fabrics woven by Ezio Ghiringhelli of Varese, Italy: a viscose paisley jacquard and striped sleeve linings.

・The lining glimpsed in the photos is beautifully finished, with black-to-charcoal paisley emerging as the light shifts. Its contrast with the quiet outer fabric is another charm of this piece.

・A fully lined construction, beautifully finished inside, brings luxurious materials and advanced tailoring even to the parts no one sees.

・The front uses Italian-made, hand-sewn metal “automatica” snap buttons.

・It also uses genuine horn buttons made exclusively for GBS by the renowned button makers Claudio Fontana and Cinzia Fontana of Parma, Italy.

・The buttonholes, a hallmark of GEOFFREY B. SMALL, are fully hand-stitched with pure silk thread from Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta.

・Cutting and sewing a single buttonhole alone takes 10–14 minutes — exceptionally labor-intensive tailoring.

・Reworking a Super 130’s suit fabric woven for Emporio Armani into a blouson reminiscent of a baseball jacket — this unexpected pairing of material and design is another great appeal of this model.
