・Drawing on his many years of tailoring research, GEOFFREY B. SMALL studied and reconstructed vintage American classic military chino trousers to create an original pattern

・Moderate room through the hips, gently tapering toward the hem for a classic and exceptionally beautiful silhouette

・Made from extra-fine pure cotton from Varese, Italy, a region known for fine cotton and linen

・The fabric is a chino suiting in gabardine/raso satin twill, with a smoothness and refined texture quite unlike ordinary casual chino cloth

・After sewing, each piece is hand-dyed black one by one at GBS Superworkrooms in Cavarzere, Venice

・The dyeing and finishing alone take more than 8 hours of skilled handwork, creating its distinctive color, patina, three-dimensional form and soft hand

・Unlike the flat black of uniform industrial dyeing, hand-dyeing and washing create subtle shading and depth across the fabric surface — a black unique to GBS

・The front features a coin pocket that recalls its military chino heritage

・Chosen for both strength and design, the front zipper is a nickel-aluminum zipper made specially for GBS by YKK of Japan

・Interior seams are finished with beautiful taping, so the inside is crafted as carefully as the outside

・Key fitting areas have exceptionally generous 2.5cm seam allowances built in

・Thanks to these allowances, the trousers are built so that you can not only adjust the waist and fit but, according to GBS, even have them let out by up to 2 sizes from the original size in years to come

・A detail that reflects GEOFFREY B. SMALL’s philosophy of “wearing clothes for a long time”: tailoring not just for perfection at the point of purchase, but with changes in body shape and years of wear in mind

・The buttons are genuine mother-of-pearl (white-lip oyster shell) buttons made for GBS by specialist artisans in Padua, Italy

・Also featured are genuine corozo nut (palm nut) buttons, specially made in Bergamo, Italy

・The buttonholes are fully hand-stitched, a hallmark of GEOFFREY B. SMALL; cutting and sewing just one takes 10–14 minutes of work

・For the buttonholes, the finest pure silk thread from Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta is used

・Variations in color and shading from hand-dyeing and special hand-washing are not defects but characteristics unique to this piece, born of completing each garment by hand
